MyFaces Extensions Validator - v1.2.3 M2

The second milestone of the next MyFaces ExtVal release is available in the Apache snapshot repository.

In comparison to milestone 1, the Bean-Validation integration module was activated. Furthermore, some great new features are available as well.

The new validation module allows to use JSR 303 with all JSF versions. JSF 2.0 supports JSR 303 out of the box. Anyway, ExtVal offers advanced features beyond the standard integration (e.g. model-validation, severity aware validation and much more!).

Moreover, the new integration module offers some great features which are already known from the existing infrastructure of ExtVal. One of these features is constraint based client-side validation in combination with MyFaces Trinidad. Early adaptors can use the snapshots which are available here.

MyFaces Extensions Validator - v1.2.3 M1

The first milestone of the next MyFaces ExtVal release is available in the Apache snapshot repository. The next release of ExtVal depends among other things on the final release of JSR 303. Early adaptors can use the snapshots which are available here.

MyFaces ExtVal-Add-ons as feasibility studies

MyFaces ExtVal is a highly pluggable validation platform which allows to extend the available features in a very easy manner. The os890 project hosts some nice add-ons as feasibility studies as well as some examples.

MyFaces ExtVal Intro

A very short overview of the features and mechanisms of MyFaces ExtVal is available at www.slideshare.net. You can have a look at the first part. Please contact us, if you are interested in the other parts as well.

First Release of MyFaces Extensions Validator

MyFaces Extensions Validator is a JSF centric validation framework.

It offers powerful and easy to use field based validation based on annotations. It has a pluggable architecture, so it is possible to add new validation modules or support for component libraries like Trinidad or other 3rd party frameworks.

MyFaces Extensions Validator is compatible with JSF 1.1.x and JSF 1.2.x. Both versions require Java 1.5+
